I made a granny square blanket in high school. One large granny square, different colors of blue on each round. My mother still had it until last year. Proof that poly-yarn can last forever.

I will be honest, I think if I wanted some granny square fabric, I would just crochet some. My favorite this week was Grannies Chicken Sweatersby vesper_q_designs. That's fabric that I couldn't crochet! I think this would be a cute border on a garment.
