This week’s Design Discovery prompt was all about the letter “J,” and I had a blast diving into the endless possibilities it offered. From animals to abstract concepts, the variety was incredible. But let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what I found!
Our Google search to see what “J is For…”
- Jellyfish: A whopping 5,485 Spoonflower search results! Clearly, jellyfish are a big hit, and I can see why—they’re just so mesmerizing.
- Jaguar: Brought in 2,502 results. Sleek, powerful, and perfect for bold designs.
- Jungle: No surprise here, this one was massive with 10,000+ results. Jungles are a go-to theme for vibrant, lush patterns.
- Judgement: Only 13 results—and honestly, none that quite fit the vibe I was going for, so I decided to pass on including them.
As usual, I sorted the results by relevance and combed through the first 10 pages to find the gems. One thing I really enjoyed this week was using the new color picker tool. It made it super easy to flip through different color options and find the perfect hue for each design.
Now, onto my favorite find of the week: “Jellyfish” by leventetladiscorde. There’s something about jellyfish that just seems to lend itself to watercolor designs, and this one is a stunning example. The soft, flowing lines and delicate colors really capture the ethereal beauty of these sea creatures.
